Hello, I am Jessica Villella.
I am a lifestyle and motherhood photographer and a birth doula in Northern Colorado. Through my own personal experiences and journey into motherhood, I have found that I have a deep love and passion for all things birth, babies and motherhood.
I am a wife and mama of four. I am originally from Oregon and my husband from Minnesota, we met here in Colorado. From the sunshine to the mountains we are so thankful to call Colorado our home. We now have two little sweet yet sassy girls and two very snuggly and wild boys. My hubby and I enjoy doing projects from building to restoring. We strive to live simply, intentionally and about as wildly as we can. Quality time and family traditions are some of our most important family values. No matter the season, you will find we spend lots of time outside enjoying all the seasons and the beauty it has to offer. I'm always looking for more inspiring and intentional people to surround myself with.

Birth Work
I love birth! Birth is (or at least should be) one of the most empowering moments in life. I believe a birth story is a love story, and partners should be completely involved in every piece of the pregnancy and birth. I believe every couple should feel empowered by their birth experience.
My journey into the birth world truly started long before I even gave birth. From the moment I realized I was pregnant, (or at least, shortly after the shock wore off) I found myself completely fascinated with it all- from pregnancy to birth and every piece of parenting. I read all the books, listened to all the podcasts, and loved all the research. I never realized there were so many options, opinions and styles of parenting. As overwhelming as it was at times, I knew exactly what I wanted and I never realized the possibility of lack of support or that there could be a power struggle or so much judgement that could occur in such a beautiful and intimate time.
After our oldest daughter was born in 2015, I dove head first into birth work as a doula, birth assistant and birth photographer.
I recently just had my fourth and last baby boy and as a mama who really values the short time I have with my littles, I plan to be more intentional and balanced with work and family life. To do this, I have stepped back from full time birth work and plan to enjoy more photography and even take photography to a whole new level. 2023 there will be very limited spots for birth support & birth photography.

I have always had a love for photography. I am a creative soul inside and out. Photography is timeless, priceless and always capturing a moment in time. I'm so thankful that my grandmother bought me my first "fancy" camera in 2005 and encouraged me to express my wildly creative and artist side through photography. Since then photography has always been my beloved hobby.
I have enjoyed some college photography courses, as well as photoshop too. Over the years I have become well versed in a variety of editing and photography styles. I am also have fun with double exposures & fantasy pieces.
My photography style is naturally a little more moody and contrasted. I enjoy capturing as much emotion as possible in a photo. However, if you have a specific preference, just let me know.
